What BEC does

  • Allocates money to member departments, societies and organizations for the execution of engineering projects and events.
  • Aids the member societies grow their student membership
  • Publishes the E-Gator every semester to inform the College about society events.
  • Participates in the National Association of Engineering Student Councils (NAESC).

BEC also plans several events throughout the year that are open to the entire College of Engineering, including:

  • College of Engineering Homecoming Float
  • Engineers Week
  • Holiday Cheer
  • Spring Service
  • Society Night

Voting members of the general council are elected by their respective societies. All engineering students are encouraged to attend meetings and participate in the many BEC functions and events.
