Introducing the First Annual E-Week Cup

The Engineers Week Cup is a week-long competition pitting UF's best and brightest engineering societies against each other in a battle of wits, pride, and participation. Points will be awarded throughout the week starting with the Engineering Leadership Forum on Saturday, February 13th until the Meet the Dean's BBQ on Friday, February 19th.

There are three ways to earn points towards the Engineers Week Cup:

  1. Winning or placing for an award during an E-Week event (Example: Visitors Choice for E-Fair, Jeopardy for E-Bowl, any athletic event for Field Day, etc.)
  2. Spirit
    1. Show off your pride and passion for Gator Engineering and your society! Whip out that body paint you have leftover from football season and slap it on. Write a chant for your society or design some posters to intimidate your opponents. Get creative and get competitive! Spirit will be judged by the E-Week Committee and points will be awarded on an overall basis.
  3. Participation
    1. Sign-in sheets will be placed at each event for individuals to sign-in and indicate their respective societies. At the end of the event, the sheets will be tallied and the societies with the most members at the event will be awarded points.
    2. NOTE: Individuals are only allowed to represent ONE society

A full list of possible points is listed below*. Point totals will be updated daily on the E-Week website. The society with the most points at the end of the week will be crowned E-Week Cup Champion.

The winning society will have its name engraved on the prestigious 1st annual E-Week Cup Trophy, which will stay with that society until E-Week 2011 where the trophy must be successfully defended or passed on to next year's winner. In addition, the winning society will receive a cash prize to be announced later and severe bragging rights for the next year.

Think your society has what it takes to be an E-Week Champion? Register online, come out to E-Week, and fight for the Cup!
